Fixes for Common SCCM 2007 OSD Failures

Below are some fixes for the most common SCCM 2007 OSD errors that I have encountered, I hope they help you some.

  • Ensure that all Operating System Images and Driver Packs have been assigned distribution points and that the Distribution Points have been updated.

  • Make sure that the Task Sequence has been advertised to the correct Collection.

  • Clear the DHCP cache on the DHCP server. Trying to image too many machines in one day may result in the DHCP server running out of DHCP addresses to hand out.

  • If you have imported a machine and it fails to appear in the OSD Collection, check the All Systems collection, it may already be in SCCM and just need to be added to the OSD collection.
